What User doesn't like about Sukiya Japanese Steak House:
This was my second visit to this restaurant. The food was good, but I was very surprised when my family and I were told that we could not order from the midday menu and prices because it was Father's Day. There was no signage or information on the website about this, only the waitress informed us. Now I am questioning if this is true or not. It doesn't seem right that they can't stick to the prices and options listed... View all feedback.
The service from the wait staff was fantastic, however, the cook did not interact much with us. I did not receive the shrimp that was supposed to come with my dish according to the menu because the cook did not prepare enough. Additionally, my steak was severely overcooked. Overall, we were not satisfied with the experience and do not plan on returning. It was not worth the $130 we spent.
We have dined at this restaurant several times and have enjoyed it each time. Tonight, we celebrated our daughter's first birthday here. The food was delicious and the staff was fantastic and very friendly. They really made the night special for us. Thank you!
We have dined at Sukiya multiple times, and each time we are impressed by the quick greeting, seating, order taking, and food service, whether at the hibachi grills or regular tables. The food quality is consistently excellent, whether we order chicken, steak, scallops, or shrimp - always cooked perfectly. Their noodles, rice, beverages, and ginger dressing salads are outstanding. The portion sizes are generous for the price, often allowing for leftovers. The hibachi chefs are interactive and make the dining experience enjoyable. We will definitely be returning to Sukiya in the future.
Unless you care to travel to Augusta, or an hour to Columbia, Sukiya is a hidden gem when it comes to sushinin Aiken. Now, their hibachi options are tasty, too! Not many restaurants offer noodles in place of mountains of fried rice. The hibachi chefs areentertaining, fun, and I highly recommend a reservation if you come on a weekend. Personally, I enjoy their sushi and sashimiselections. They offer a vast variety of choices that I normally must travel to find. I tend to be a sushi purist but I 've neverreally been let down by what the chefs serve. Their more adventures American style rolls are quite scrumptious. I think theJaguar Roll is my favorite, non-sashimi choice. The staff are incredibly polite and I always leave satisfied (maybeover-stuffed) and feeling pleased with my meal. Again, reserve a spot if it 's a weekend because they will be busy!
Clean and spacious. Lots of menu choices. Service very good and food delivered in timely manner. One order had too much zucchini for the amount of steak. All meals were well seasoned and a generous portion, except for the excess zucchini
