Macaluso's - Aiken
Macaluso's
Description
Tucked in Aiken, this cozy, family-run Italian spot pairs imported pasta and hearty appetizers with an atmospheric upstairs bar and attentive, owner-driven service. Wine and cocktails complement simple, well-executed plates—clam linguine, meatballs and sausage and peppers earn praise—while entrees are mid-to-upscale in price. The dining room’s old-house charm, intimate seating and lively bar make it ideal for adults and small groups. Ample parking and wheelchair access add convenience, though the menu skews heavily toward pasta and occasional variability in execution has been reported.

Best Italian in Aiken. Some of the best I have ever had. Perfect romantic date night spot.
Dissapointed in the limited menu. If you just wanted pasta then this is the place for you. There were just 3 entrees that were not pasta 2 fish and 1 chicken. I willm say this what I finaly ordered was good but I wouldmhavve liked a larger selection of italian dishes the were not pasta.
During our visit to Aiken, we were in search of a laid-back place that served delicious Italian cuisine. Although we didn't have a reservation, we happily waited an hour for a table and enjoyed the lively bar atmosphere in the meantime. Once seated, both the service and food surpassed our expectations. We ordered the Chicken Parmesan and the Clam Linguine with white wine clam sauce, and they were fantastic.
When we moved to the main dining area, it continued to impress. We were seated promptly in the center of the dining area, which was comfortable. The dinner and drink recommendations provided by our waitress, who is also the co-owner, were spot on. We thoroughly enjoyed the bread, our chosen meals, a bottle of wine, dessert, and after-dinner drinks. The dedication of the experienced staff and the owners was truly commendable. We left feeling proud that Macaluso's Restaurant is part of our Aiken community. Parking was ample, and the main dining area was easily accessible for those with wheelchairs.
