Kobe Japanese Steak Seafood House

My family and I visited Kobe on Washington Rd for Mother's Day, and we had a very disappointing experience. It felt as though we were only seated with other Black customers, as if we weren’t allowed to dine with anyone else. The cook was unprofessional, and the portion sizes were far below our expectations given the $90 we spent. I will definitely not be returning to this restaurant.

I visited Kobe's on Washington Road with my husband, family, and friends for Valentine's Day. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. The cook was not up to par, and the manager was rude. While the food was decent, it was undercooked. Overall, it was a valuable lesson, but it was also quite overpriced considering the poor service we received.

You simply must try this restaurant! I’ve been frequenting the upscale Japanese restaurant in Augusta for years, but Kobe completely surpassed my expectations! The food is significantly better—it's not just a lump of rice, and there’s a wider selection of vegetables. Best of all, the prices are half what I used to pay! You can order steak and add chicken, shrimp, scallops, or all of them if you’d like. There is a wait, as it’s a small place, but it’s definitely worth it. While the building isn’t as visually appealing as the fancy restaurant, to me, the flavor of the food and the great value are far more important than a beautifully painted ceiling. I’m excited to hear they’ll be opening a location in Augusta soon, and I can’t wait to visit frequently!

Great food! Some of the best hibachi! Not all of the cooks put on a really great show, but the food was excellent. We will be going back! The early bird special is a great deal!
