The lady at the Berlin was awesome bartender, people person, and loved to have a great laugh. She made our stay in Ahrensburg welcoming. Thank you for the shots! View all feedback.
The well established pub/restaurant is the pioneer of the "Gastromile" in Ahrensburg. It attracts a middleaged clientelle and is well visited most evenings. The food is classic german and always good. The staff is friendly and attentive. The Prices are average for the Location.
Whenever I visit friends in Ahrensburg I have to satisfy my ex-pat cravings for good German pub food at "Berlin Milljöh". This time my friend chose the lunch special, Eisbein (pork knuckle) with sauerkraut, and I had my favorite Matjes Hausfrauenart (marinated herring with apple cream sauce - sounds weird, I know, but tastes great!) with Bratkartoffeln: sliced potatoes pan fried with bacon and onions. American adopted German sauerkraut, but, with their passion for bacon, why do they never cook home fries with bacon and onions to make Bratkartoffeln?
We had a great dinner here with very friendly service. The waitress made sure our dog had some water and our dog even got some dogcookies. We ate the schnitzel and steaks and we enjoyed this meal a lot. This place is well worth a...visit.
