I 'd spent all day visiting various museums and attractions in Aguascalientes and about 4:30 p.m. I was hungry; I 'd only eaten a light breakfast in the morning. Las Antorchas is popular and I was passing it when walking back to my hotel so I decided to give it a chance. The restaurant was maybe 50% full, many tables were taken by teams of young soccer players and parents because there was a regional tournament in the city that week. This was the week leading up to Easter. Service was slow but I was okay with that. My waitress was very good, though a bit harried with the number of customers in her station. My order was 'Bistec a La Mexicana ' thinly sliced steak in a sauce of 'Salsa Pico de Gallo ' , accompanied by refried beans and corn tortillas. I ordered a side of guacamole. For a beverage, I ordered a bottle of beer: 'Barrillito '. The main dish didn 't include a lot of meat, was a bit soupy but had good flavor ... as did the beans. The guacamole did not taste good and was as soupy as the meat course which is not a commonplace presentation . I ate little of it. With an outdoor air temperature of 86 degrees. The restaurant was not airconditioned. Cost of the meal, that included 2 bottles of beer and the entree and guacamole: MX$190 US$12 . If in Aguascalientes in the future, which is likely, I may return to try other entrees on the menu and at times the restaurant isn 't as rushed. Overall, though, it was an okay meal and 'hit the spot '.

The place is very popular and usually very busy. because it is very loud, they have to scream to have conversations. the personal is great! eating is above average Mexican cuisine. but I am not the best judge of Mexican cuisine, as I am from Europe and not really like traditional Mexican cuisine. if they like to eat Mexican, this is the place to go after most Mexican people.

The waitress very serious attitude..no smile..you dont have to be a clown but at least make the customer feel comfortable and in a great atmosfhere. and she gave us a plate with just 3 packets of sugar..also gave us the little bowl of salsa almost empty.we had to ask for more sugar and more salsa when we didnt need to in the first place..also if you ask for smething else..other waitresses wont bring it to you even if they are not busy..poor management

No vegetarian options other than enchiladas with cheese. They didn 't want to accommodate to create a veggie dish (asked for their sopes with potato and cheese and denied it). Ended up ordering a burger which states burger+fries+salad . Well the salad is the piece of lettuce and tomato that is meant to go in the burger. Fries were super hard and old. The only thing worth it here was the guacamole. Service was also super slow.
