In St. Louis, it seems like everyone compares custard shops to Ted Drewes, which isn’t really fair to the other amazing spots in the city. I usually stick to my favorite order—the Reese's PB Cup concrete—and they consistently give me a generous amount of peanut butter cups, which keeps me coming back for more. The service is quick and efficient. If you're craving custard but want to avoid the long lines at those well-known spots (you know the ones I'm talking about), you definitely need to give this place a try. You won't be let down!

It felt as though I nearly caught my fingers in the window while trying to get my ice cream from the counter. I sensed a rush and felt like I was an inconvenience to the staff. I approached the visit with an open mind, considering that the employees are still in training, but I didn’t receive a single smile or "thank you." I ordered a hot fudge sundae, but the fudge was disappointing, and the ice cream had a texture more akin to thick whipped cream rather than the creamy custard I’ve enjoyed at other places in St. Louis. Given that this location is very close to my home, I was looking forward to trying it out, but I left feeling quite underwhelmed.

Every employee is extremely accommodating and enthusiastic about making your sundae dreams come true. My favorite is the Rocky Road with hot fudge.
