We sampled a few dishes at this restaurant last year. The sausage roll was tasty, but the cake had a strange flavor. Overall, it's a good choice for a light meal!
I visited this restaurant in early September 2020. Because of Covid-19, they had a limited menu with only a few vegan options available. I tried the vegan cooked breakfast from the breakfast menu, as well as the vegan sausage roll and apple cake from the lunch menu. The sausage roll was served with a side salad and was decent, while the apple cake was quite tasty. The restaurant is located on East Street, close to the river and with a nice pedestrian area, offering plenty of outdoor seating options.
I have been visiting this restaurant on and off for many years with my elderly mother. Historically, it has been a typical cafe with limited vegan options. However, during my most recent visit, I was pleasantly surprised to discover that the restaurant is now under new management who are focused on offering more vegan choices. Although I had already eaten lunch elsewhere, I decided to stop in for a sweet treat and a cup of tea. I was delighted to find two vegan cake options and two vegan ice cream flavors available. I indulged in a slice of homemade apple cake and a scoop of each vegan ice cream flavor (salted caramel and coconut). The cake was delicious and the ice cream was incredible. I enjoyed discussing my positive experience with the owner and wish them success with their new venture. Highly recommend!
We tried a few articles here last year. the roll we had was delicious, but the cake had a very strange taste. a good option for a light meal! updated by previous review on 2021-11-27
At the beginning september 2020. due to covid 19 they offer a more limited menu and there were only a few vegan options (vegan cooked breakfast on the breakfast menu, a vegan sausage roll on the lunch menu and a apple cake.) the sausage roll was served with a small by-alat and was ok, the apple cake was nice. the location on the east street is good – close to the river and pedestrian zones is quite a bit outside.
