Restaurant with number of tables, placed on the ground floor and with a beautiful mezzanine, where then we settled. Paper menu and some dishes of the day. We were actually looking for another restaurant, then it was closed and not reported on their site... money for them! then, also thanks to several reports we arrived at the airport and we were satisfied with it. local not huge but beautiful (and with a small mezzanine), we settled. kindly greeted by a waitress we were immediately put at ease in a spacious table. the dinner was well obtained and we were followed on all our curiosity by a very kind and professional maid. appropriate price.
Great welcome, easy to find. fish, so I expected a few more euros than the classic work lunch. but wait, with two super scallops, the cooking of the risotto on the scampi was worth it. very good, and in the end the price quality ratio has satisfied me.
Apparently there was a change in the Wiener-Shop a month ago. sad for us, because the “old allo Scalo” should have been amazing. our visit was a real disappointment. first, the waitress messed up our order, then they had to fix it, but. the first dish has already been served. They also forgot the salate and brought him without oil and vinegar. we had to go through the room and get it ourselves. my eating was the worst spaghetti “Bolognese” I have ever eaten in my life. it was just a few chop meats of low quality with noodles. no taste in it. for my friend, she had to wait so much more until her food was finally there. the court was completely over taste. Unfortunately, the service was also quite bad. they didn't take care of us. for the quality it was only overpriced. the only beautiful thing about this visit was the ambiente.
I haven't been with the scalo since the new management came. I see that not much has changed, the restaurant still focuses on seafood and the traditional decoration is the same. on this occasion. I was there at lunch with a group of people I had worked with, so we went for the €14 Menù lavoro (working menu.) service was very friendly, professional fast (as we were in our lunch break.) all in the group went for the fish-based offer, pennette allo scoglio (pasta with mixed seafoods) the €14 included drink coffee. the owner told me that they change the menu every day, so regular customers don't get bored! However, there is always a fish-based and a meat-based fixed menu. Of course they can also order à-la-carte. no private parking, but there is a public that is about 10 seconds to walk away.
Great restaurant! we ate lunch and dinner and enjoyed a lot! great service, excellent eating and good atmosphere
