Midnight Spaghetti - Adelaide
Midnight Spaghetti
Description
Midnight Spaghetti marries cosy, funky Italian charm with an upstairs bar perfect for pre-dinner drinks and sunset views over Grenfell Street. A concise menu yields standout pastas, brussels sprouts, prawns and a must-order tiramisu, plus excellent cocktails and mocktails. Generous portions, weekday family deals and many vegetarian/vegan options add value. Service is often friendly and attentive, though food consistency and allergy communication have room for improvement; the place can be lively and noisy on popular nights.

I had the zucchini noodles with bolognese sauce, which was both generous in portion and incredibly tasty, all for just $15 on a Wednesday evening. The atmosphere was great, and the staff were very friendly. However, the wine they recommended was a bit unusual. The crowd was fairly young, and I definitely think the after-hours scene downstairs is a good plan. I’ll definitely be returning!
Had a great experience at Midnight Spaghetti as a result of great service and great food. We booked late and as a result were seated in a quieter, more secluded area. However, our waiter, Josh, and the hostess, Maddy, were great and made sure they checked in frequently and were friendly and bubbly. The food was amazing and whilst there’s no photo attached, make sure you order the tiramisu!
Midnight Spaghetti shows a lot of promise. The upstairs bar and dining area is a perfect spot for a casual pre-dinner drink! The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, which enhances the overall experience. The menu offers a solid variety of options without being overwhelming or pretentious. However, the food still needs some improvement. My spaghetti and meatballs were just okay; they definitely needed more flavor. Similarly, my friends weren't too impressed with their cockles and carbonara dishes, despite being fans of Italian cuisine. Overall, while there's room for growth, Midnight Spaghetti has great potential, and I’m likely to give it another try.
Food was great but my partner said she was allergic to nuts and there must of been some cross contamination or nuts in her pasta which ended up with her having an allergic reaction. It came on fast and we had to leave pretty much immediately so I only had half my pasta and she had two bites of hers. Was disappointed we didn’t have the whole bill waved as her allergies wasn’t noted to the kitchen or the kitchen didn’t read the note. Food: 4 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 4
Great food, especially good value if you dine on Tuesday or Wednesday with the Family Night Offers. The atmosphere is always buzzing (especially on these nights) and the staff are very kind and accommodating. Can be a little noisy/busy though so if you’re looking for a quiet dinner this might not be the place, on the flip side if you’re after a great night out, definitely recommend.
