I had really good and very reasonably priced paella for lunch - and looking at the rest of the menu I am certainly coming back to try more!
Came in for lunch with hubby. The mint tea was excellent, and so was my brown rice and my husband's meal. Would be interested in trying their tagines at a later time. Service was excellent, servers were friendly and happy to talk us through the menu and help us pick our meals as we are not used to the cuisine.
The owner was very welcoming and the service was good. Best part of the evening was the share platter at the beginning - very tasty. The mains were very disappointing. I had the lamb couscous and my husband had the sausage couscous. My food was tepid at best and my husbands' was returned as it was actually cold. I'm guessing (but not actually sure) that all of our meals were pre-made and just microwaved?? Very disappointing.
I tried the merguez sausages and cous cous at this restaurant and I was very impressed with the flavors and presentation. The mint tea and coffee were also delicious.
The chakchouka at this restaurant made for a delicious breakfast full of flavor. We weren't sure which variety we ordered, as we were persuaded by a man offering us a date fruit while wandering through the markets. After chatting with him and expressing our preference for spicy food, he had the chef prepare the spicy sausage chakchouka for us. We thoroughly enjoyed the dish, which was packed with a variety of spices. The meal came with warm crusty bread for dipping into the sauce. Additionally, we tried a tea with pine nuts in it, which was a unique and pleasant experience.
