Ky chow never disappoints! This is our go to girls date on a Fri night with our daughters. The staff are always so pleasant and welcoming, they really can’t do enough for you. The menu is diverse however we’ve nailed the correct combination of sweet, sour, crunchy, hot, spicy, and tasty. The service is fast, value for money is on point and the food is exceptionally fresh. Do your self a solid and pop ky chow on your... View all feedback.
What Charles Welch doesn't like about Ky Chow:
We wanted to have early dinner. Ding Hao was not opened yet so we decided to try KY Chow just across the street. We ordered sizzling mongolian lamb, pak choy, hot and sour soup, rice and tea. The sizzling mongolian lamb was a disappointment, the meat was smothered in a gooey sauce without any other ingredients like onion or spring onion. It looked unappealing and we did not like the taste or texture. The hot and sour... View all feedback.
We wanted lunch near the market. The first place we looked at was very expensive but My Chow offered good sized dishes for around $17. Boiled rice was $2.80. I had chicken cashew nuts thoroughly enjoyed it. I couldn't eat it all but was provided with take home container for what I couldn't manage at the time. My friend had sweet sour pork said it was the best she had ever had. The staff was efficient friendly we didn't have to wait too long for our order to be served. We are planning a return trip with friends in tow.
We had a person on our table with dietary needs and the staff were clearly very knowledgeable with what could and couldn't be ordered. Food was fast and delicious without being overpriced, given the good location on Gouger st. Look forward to next time.
Came here on Saturday night and it was packed but managed to get a table after 15 mins of waiting. They have indoor and outdoor sitting. Food came pretty quick which is great. Ordered the duck (forgot the name of the dish but it was under recommended section), salt and pepper squid. The best squid ever. The batter is crunchy but the squid is so tender. Duck is a little bit too salty for my taste but the meat is very tender. Overall, it's great food and reasonably priced. Staffs are helpful and quick to serve. Perfect for family dinner.
Quite frankly this the best Chinese in Adelaide!! Have been going to Ky Chow for over ten years, the quality is always amazing & service is lovely!
I used to like this place, but went here a little while ago with a big table of people and no one enjoyed it. I'm not sure how a restaurant near Chinatown got the dishes so wrong! Will not be returning as there are so many better places to go in this area.
