Nice Cafe in a good location. Easy parking on the side street. Really nice Turmeric Latte, just something it wasn't hot. Food was nice, service was prompt. Good selection of dishes and desserts. Would go back, even if just over for coffee and a quick bite to eat. View all feedback.
What Madeline doesn't like about Drummer Boy Cafe:
Unfortunately left disappointed. Food was undercooked and under seasoned. Eggs Benedict in particular was not flavourful, muffin not toasted and side of haloumi was barely cooked. We enjoyed our coffees though and the atmosphere was nice, but a lot of room for improvement with their brunch options. Was quite pricey too at just under $70 for two breakfasts and two coffees. Today, I enjoyed the best steak sandwich I've ever had. The service was excellent, and I dined in for lunch. I would rate the food a perfect 5, the service a perfect 5, and the atmosphere a perfect 5 as well.
I feel really bad rating Drummer Boy Cafe a 3/5. We went here often before the virus. Our experience was that one of our premium priced meals was cold in the middle and quite under seasoned. Overcooked on parts and undercooked on others. People raved on the Steak sandwich, when mine arrived, I could taste it was cooked from frozen. The humongous oversized steak is not blue or rare, it 's well done, so it 's incredibly dry with bearly enough spread to cover half it 's size. Our waitress was really, really professional (not race calling, the Asian lady) so that was really nice, someone listening and professionally awaiting. It would really be good if they could bounce back from whatever is restricting them.
