Drummer Boy Cafe - Adelaide
Drummer Boy Cafe
Description
Nestled in a convenient location with easy street parking, this bustling café earns praise for exceptional coffee, standout steak sandwiches and bagels, generous adjustable portions and friendly, efficient service. Clean and family-friendly, it even offers coffee grounds for compost. However, guests note inconsistent kitchen performance—undercooked or unevenly cooked dishes, underseasoned plates and the occasional disappointing or lukewarm item—and some find prices on the high side. Overall, a beloved local brunch spot with strong drinks and service that could benefit from tighter kitchen consistency.

I hadn't been here before, but I ordered from the brunch menu. This was the best breakfast we've had in the peninsula area, featuring nothing but high-quality ingredients on the plate. The coffee was fantastic, and the staff were courteous, warm, and helpful. This place is more than just another coffee shop; we also noticed locals who work in the area coming in for their morning coffee.
I stopped by for a quick coffee and lunch. The steak sandwich was the best I've ever had—absolutely delicious! The coffee was fantastic, and the delightful little dessert we tried, the Twix slice, was divine! Kudos to the chefs and the service staff. It's a charming little café that all of you should be proud of!
I am absolutely in love with this café. The food was exquisite, particularly the melt-in-your-mouth steak sandwich. The coffee was good, which is hard to come by these days, and the tea was delightful. I also appreciate that this café provides coffee grounds for customers to take home for their gardens or compost heaps. This will definitely be my new favorite local café.
The best steak sandwich I have ever had! Friendly staff, great service and a great atmosphere. Plenty of vegetarian options too. Will definitely be going back.
Just popped in for brekky with my boyfriend and the food was so amazing! I ordered the breakfast beans with poached eggs and avo and Aaron ordered the poached eggs with beetroot relish, home made hummus and mushrooms. The food was tasty and we loved the mexican inspired theme of the cafe that flowed into the flavours of the food. The coffee was great and service was fast and friendly. We will definitely be back!
