Daniel's - Adelaide
Daniel's
Description
This restaurant in a prime location on Rundle Street offers a mixed bag of reviews. Some diners had negative experiences, citing issues such as soggy food, poor service, and overpriced dishes. However, others found it to be a pleasant dining spot, with friendly service, tasty food, and a relaxing atmosphere, especially when seated on the balcony overlooking the bustling street below. Despite some inconsistencies, it seems that the restaurant has the potential to provide a satisfying dining experience for those willing to give it a try.

Actual worse place I've ever been to. Came with a group of 8 for lunch. Service was average, tables were gross and rotting. Drinks were flat and tasteless. Food was small and over priced and had no taste. Never again. I'm surprised they are still operating with low standards like this. Do. Not. Eat. Here. Ever.
Food was just really poor to be honest. Oysters weren't fresh, chicken parmi was okay but a little cold and the chips were soggy! Definitely not a nice dining experience and doubt I'd come again.
Went there on the way to the soccer GF yesterday and this will be the first time I've felt the need to write a review. In hindsight an empty restaurant in a packed city at lunchtime should have been the giveaway but these are the worst meals I have ever had. A chicken parmigiana where the crumbing was thicker than the chicken, the little chicken in it was crumbly and some fatty chewy bits. The side of gravy was brown water. The sirloin steak was 70% fat - look horribly before a bite was even taken. The oysters were creamy and off. And the service was not interested. Comments like "I'll let the chef know" and no interest to improve our dining experience. I showed the waitress all the issues. Nothing. And then they had the nerve to charge top dollar for this absolute rubbish. As i said normally don't do reviews and can handle the odd sub-standard meal but this is by far the worst I've had.
Worst meal so far in Adelaide. Absolutely terrible food and a bad pub bistro style menu, as for the chefs special tartare sauce I have no idea what was going on there but it was awful. I had the seafood platter that was just fried frozen seafood and my friend had what can only be described as the most watery looking creamy pasta I have ever seen. Every plate we saw served around us included chips, shredded iceberg lettuce , one single slice of cucumber and one single slice of tomato. What a shame it is to see a great location go to such a waste.
Worst meal I have eaten in Adelaide. Stopped here mainly for the view overlooking the street. There was a lunch menu board outside with Beef parmies for $15, all pastas for $12. Nowhere on this board did it say the serving size was one quater of the normal size. Got our meals, parmie was about the size of a deck of cards, 3 bites and it was gone. Acompanied by half a cup of iceburg lettuce, and 8th of a tomato, and 2 slices of cucumber and some 4th time in the fryer' chips. Complained to the waitress and was told it was cheaper, you should have know it would be small'. That's funny, I thought $15 for a parmie wasn't that cheap at lunch time It wouldn't have mattered if it was the...read more
