Some of the same staf... read more We had often eaten lovely meals at this restaurant but it is now called Marina Beach and has new owners. The food there is now disgusting. Some of the same staff are there who are absolutely lovely and helpful, particularly Bey, but the meals we...had were dreadful. I had a simple carbonara which was overcooked spagetti absolutely swimming in grease with cream which had separated for a sauce plus lumps of cooked egg stuck throughout it. I didn't want to make a fuss but I had to send it back after I had tried just a couple of mouthfulls as it just was not edible. I showed them the bottom of the bowl was full of grease plus the chunks of rubbery egg all through it, but the owner just shrugged and walked away. The lovely waiter was very apologetic but couldn't do anything as the owner just wasn't interested. My husband ordered the expensive leg of lamb chef special dish which was just a scraggy bit of lamb on the bone with some overcooked peppers and veg swimming around in a tasteless watery sauce. He said it wasn't at all pleasant but as it wasn't actually inedible and we didn't have time to go anywhere else before leaving for our flight, he ate about half of it. This was a most disappointing end to our holiday so be warned avoid this place and eat at any of the other nearby restaurants!

Only think I don't like... read more Have always loved peurto colon, it's beautiful with a beautiful atmosphere! We ate at la pergola and the food was amazing and so cheap! Only think I don't like is where the candy bar used to be there is now a new place which had...music blaring from 8.30. Ruins the nice atmosphere unfortunately but will always go back to la pergola as staff and food are amazing!
