This was the second time dining here and this time was for my daughter’s birthday. The first time we had amazing service, food, etc., but this time wasn’t exactly the same. I made a reservation through OpenTable and listed that it was for my daughter’s birthday. They did nothing special for her. We also didn’t have the actual sever and instead got what I think is a manager and he was not attentive enough at all and I... View all feedback.
What Tommy N doesn't like about Ferrari's Italian Villa Chop House:
The food was delicious! Had pasta carbonara with steak and calamari as appetizer! Everything was great but our waiter was very rude. At first it didn't seem like anything , but the it slowly progressed more and more throughout the dinner where it was becoming very obvious on how rude he was and in what seemed like a very upset mood. He seemed to be rushing to get us out as dinner progressed and would pick up plates d... View all feedback.
Delicious! This place is fantastic. The bread they serve is freshly made, and the food feels like home-cooked goodness. I absolutely love it!
This restaurant used to be one of my favorites, but it has quickly become a place I dread ordering from. I still order occasionally because their gnocchi and focaccia are excellent, but even the quality of the gnocchi has begun to decline. The service is mediocre, and the website doesn't even provide an accurate menu for the Addison location, which is frustrating. Once I find another restaurant that serves good gnocchi, I probably won't come back. It's disappointing because they have so much potential, but the inconsistency in service and food quality has soured my experience.
The food was nothing short of FANTASTIC! (Though I may struggle to spell most of the dishes, I will describe them with my best effort.) My dining companion and I enjoyed the caprese salad, a wedge salad, seasoned bread with marinara (which came complimentary with our meal), gnocchi in a creamy sauce, and chocolate mousse for dessert. Despite my difficulty in naming the dishes, I can confidently say that my tasting skills are on point. The caprese was incredible, perfectly balancing the flavors of fresh mozzarella, oil, and tomato. The mozzarella was simply delightful—so fresh! The seasoned bread was a treat, and the gnocchi was firm rather than soggy, enveloped in a flavorful yet subtle cream sauce. The dessert was exquisite, featuring hazelnuts perfectly placed on top of the mousse, which was rich but not overwhelmingly so. We accompanied our dessert with decaf coffee, and it was a perfect match. For a moment, I truly felt as if I had escaped the United States and gone on a little vacation. The service was impressive as well. The staff expertly cleared our plates and presented the dessert menu without interrupting our conversation. I wore trendy distressed jeans and a T-shirt and felt slightly underdressed. No one mentioned it, but keep in mind that this is a special dining experience, so consider your outfit carefully. Yes, it is on the pricier side, and you might not come here frequently, but dining here is a guarantee that you won't be disappointed. I can confidently say that the food here adheres to a standard of excellence that makes it worth every penny.
