This was the second time dining here and this time was for my daughter’s birthday. The first time we had amazing service, food, etc., but this time wasn’t exactly the same. I made a reservation through OpenTable and listed that it was for my daughter’s birthday. They did nothing special for her. We also didn’t have the actual sever and instead got what I think is a manager and he was not attentive enough at all and I... View all feedback.
What Tommy N doesn't like about Ferrari's Italian Villa Chop House:
The food was delicious! Had pasta carbonara with steak and calamari as appetizer! Everything was great but our waiter was very rude. At first it didn't seem like anything , but the it slowly progressed more and more throughout the dinner where it was becoming very obvious on how rude he was and in what seemed like a very upset mood. He seemed to be rushing to get us out as dinner progressed and would pick up plates d... View all feedback.
Excellent service and food. Warm welcome. Cozy table. Delicious wine. Long history of Pallet pleasing Italian food. We will be back!
This is the BEST KEPT SECRET!!!!! I'm in LOVE with this place!!! A great place for couples looking for AUTHENTIC Italian food and a beautiful ambiance...Best kept secret that NEEDS to be TRIED!!!
Uneven to poor. The food was generally acceptable, but bland and with complete lack of creativity. Everything needed at least a dash of salt (which was not even found on the table) and a good shake of pepper (which was very reluctantly brought by the waiter after asking multiple times). Salads were not crisp and cold, more sort of luke cold and semi flimsy. Marinara was average; al fredo was much more cream (or milk) than parmesan and butter. Pasta tased fresh, though. Veal scaloppine had good flavor, but was a very small portion. Sea bass was undercooked and quite bland; pesto risotto was equal parts bland and watery rice, sour sun dried tomatoes, and nondescript, oily pesto. Desserts options were slim (about three cliches and ice cream). No specials. Careful of the sodas $7 Shirley Temples with no free refills add up quickly with thirsty children. Kitchen timing was all over the place (aka poor). Kids meals came last. One main dish forgotten and one salad forgotten. Large time gap between ordering and bread and then first course. One of the centerpieces of the room is an open pizza kitchen with a mirror that reflects the working space. However, the pizza chef looked intensely bored and the main object in the reflection was an ugly Tupperware container. nothing at all attractive to watch. Service was really inattentive missed silverware, missed orders, slow pacing, no salt or pepper, even when asked, sloppy serving, no apologies for the poor kitchen timing, no recommendations, no descriptions. And mandatory tip (although I suppose I could have been direct and refused the full 20% that was requested and added on). Dining room was faded and had a leftover and forgotten ambience like everyone forgot about this restaurant (for a good reason). No house manager, maitre d', or owner to talk to about our sloppy experience. Not sure what the good ratings are about. This restaurant is not really presentable not the food, the ambience, or the service.
He seemed to be rushing to get us out as dinner progressed and would pick up plates dropping the forks spoons onto the table. They dropped not from him accidentally dropping it, but because the way he grabbed it was aggressive. While he was grabbing the plates he would get really close to my arm beyond personal space. Great food! But the waiter I'm not sure if it was a bad day or what. I didn't enjoy my experience as much
Ferrari Italian Villa in Addison has new owners, my husband and I really enjoyed our dinner and had a good time!. We had the filet medallions and sea bass, and both great!, the fresh bread with marinara sauce was outstanding. This was our second time here, Randy one of the new owners took good care of us. We will be back soon and recommend this place to our friends.
