For a Dickey's concept/ghost kitchen, I don't know why I was expecting more. I ordered the 3 tender combo, hot, with fries. I added a side of slaw and a piece of texas toast. I tried their FUBAR heat level today, and it was fantastic. It held up wonderfully during my journey and remained crunchy and fresh by the time I finally got to enjoy it.
As a Dickey's concept/ghost kitchen, I had higher expectations. I ordered the three tender combo, hot, with fries, and added a side of coleslaw and a piece of Texas toast. The tenders reminded me of the frozen ones I had in college dining halls. They didn't come sauced or with any seasoning as I expected; instead, there was a side of sauce for me to apply myself. The coleslaw was just the typical Dickey's variety, which I found to be subpar. The Texas toast was hard and dry. The only redeeming factor was the fries. I recommend saving your money or spending a little extra for a place like Dave's or another hot chicken restaurant instead of a ghost kitchen.
The average cost is around $20 per person, including a side and a drink, but the quality just isn’t impressive. To make matters worse, they messed up our order. I ordered for four people and none of us received our ranch dressing. I also requested hot fries and seasoned tater tots, but they got that wrong as well. I’m giving it 2 stars because it wasn’t completely terrible, but it’s certainly not worth the price.
The Fired Up flavor for my chicken tenders was absolutely incredible!
I ordered hot chicken for the family last night, trying out several different spice levels, and it was absolutely delicious! I'm really pleased to have something new in the neighborhood.
