The service and wait times at this restaurant are quite poor. I had to wait 30 minutes for my food after checking in with the cashier. Fortunately, the food was good. Hopefully, they will improve in the future.
I got the seafood platter woth fries and broccoli as sides. Broccoli was cold, fries were cold and nasty, stuffed crabs were burnt and old. Fish was brown on the inside. By far the worst experience I've had at any captain ds.
I waited a long time in the drive thru. Girls gotta feed her craving ya know. I ordered the fish and shrimp platter. Shrimp was good but the fish was... I don't know how to describe it... dry, stale, over cooked. I was bummed.
I walked in to place a counter order and noticed an employee pass by me towards the window. He chatted for a moment before turning back, surprised to see me. He started taking my order for four senior two-piece fish meals, but was interrupted several times by the window attendant, who was dealing with an issue related to a drive-thru customer who didn’t want to pay for green beans because they were in the wrong container. At least three other employees walked past the cashier, seemingly unaware of what was happening and not helping to resolve the situation. The female window attendant kept yelling for kitchen staff while interrupting the cashier, adding to the confusion. Eventually, I managed to finalize my order to take to a friend’s house, as we were having a quick meal together before their move. We were really glad we didn’t go through the drive-thru, as it was completely backed up while I was ordering and picking up my food. The car with the green bean issue should have been asked to pull into a parking spot so that others could get their orders at the window without delay. As for the food quality, we were very disappointed. The fish appeared to have been fried and then reheated in the microwave, resulting in a rubbery texture instead of the crispy texture we were hoping for. The portions of green beans and coleslaw were only about a quarter cup each, filling only half of the takeout container. Is this how we’re “saving” a dollar on the senior meal with smaller portions? The hushpuppies were edible but not up to the usual standards. We have always preferred Captain D's over Long John Silver’s, but unfortunately, this experience did not meet our expectations at all.
When this restaurant first opened, it was fantastic! The service was quick and accurate, and the staff genuinely seemed to care. We used to visit about once a week. However, something has changed over the past year, and it has become quite a disappointment. Our orders are frequently wrong, and the service is slow, with staff who don’t even greet us. It’s surprising to think they expect $15 an hour with this level of service! I hold the manager responsible for this decline. Either get the location back in shape or step aside!
