We started with a tapas-style selection that included delightful dips and incredibly soft, homemade focaccia bread — everything was simply delicious! For the main course, we enjoyed a buffet-style spread featuring couscous salad, slow-roasted vegetables, potatoes, artichokes, salads, and divine chicken and beef.
There was a bit of a wait between the appetizers and the main course, but it worked well for socializing... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Rennies At Acheron:
The food took a long time to arrive, and when it did, we were shocked by the quality. It was absolutely awful—tiny portions that were smothered in greens, and the flavors were overwhelming in a bad way. It was a disaster. We know a thing or two about dining out, as we own two successful restaurants in Melbourne. Maybe they call this "designer food," but it didn't work here. Very disappointing. View all feedback.
Very special! we tried about a year ago rennie’s once and remember that it was excellent eating and wein. So, confident we’ll get a delicious meal, I’ve booked us a table for a Saturday evening in ende mai 2013. when we arrived, we sat, then marian came to our table and explained how the dinge work. we don't have a menu, I'm just gonna get you. ton okay? wake up. spontaneous adventure! and the young one fed us! when every dish was delivered to the table, it came with marian graceful and proud to introduce the court and explain how it was prepared to answer questions and give our culinary experience more value. she also checked with us during each course to...read more
City Chique meets Country Charm. From the moment you find this little gem of a restaurant you will be captivated by its beauty and quirky charm ..The idea of a magnificent restaurant filled with great modern art courtesy of owner and artist Marion Rennie set in a lovely garden surrounded by paddocks of cattle ! is perfect for a lovely day or evening out .. New Chef Anthony Salta hits the spot with great fresh produce and magnificent flavours with a menu based upon what is in the veggie garden at the time. I had the local Salmon with Saffron risotto that was cooked perfectly and an Italian cheesecake that was bursting with Fresh Ricotta and traditional Italian flavors. My partner had an...read more
I can unashamedly say that I love going to Rennie's (though I do know the owner and artist Marian Rennie, so perhaps I'm just a tad biased). For me, it's as much the atmosphere as it is the food. The walls are covered with Marian's artwork; colourful canvases of dancers and landscapes and birds but done in a fantastically modern style. In a central table there is an enormous vase of flowers that works to break up an otherwise large space, and I particularly like the burnt orange of the chairs.
A so wonderful experience in rennies to eat, my tante had her 70th birthday dinner here and even with terrible wet weathering places were still beautiful and so a warm feeling of the place with all the works of art. eating was super delicious! everything has been smoked with taste! we had a tapas style start with laughs, dive and beautiful teigie focaccia brot everything made to home and super delicious! the main thing was a help that they themselves take from couscous salat to slow roasted veg, kartoffels, artichokes, salate and divine chicken and bark. it was a bit of a gap between starter and porn, but that works well with socialization. personal super friendly and highly recommended for a high end function. they do the worlds the longest lunch on the 16th fairy, so maybe they see in that if they want to try this little gem. thank you. rennies:
We had one of the most unforgettable meals here. Marian was the perfect host. The food was truly extraordinary, more than we could finish. All the ingredients are local, as are the wines. We began with an appetizer of 6 or 7 different tastings, all excellent. Then we enjoyed a wonderful rare beef salad with local greens. For the main course, we had an incredible lamb tagine served with couscous and an amazing sweet potato mash. I highly recommend Rennies for a special night out!
