Solar do Souto - Abragao

Second visit after 7€, yes seven euro, excellent 3-course lunch. visited in the evening, the excellent, very friendly service, amazing value for money wonderful steak main course.

We were in an apartment above the restaurant rocha and would have been there, but it was a Monday night so solar was recommended by the obvious owner and reviews were good. the place looks like a simple caffe, but eating with which they came was very good. also here because it was Monday, the menu was very limited and about 60% not available (including the lamb steak I tied), but I had the cook special steak and my son the calf and both were super. possibly the best quality and the next boiled steak we had ever in portugal! my wife had fish that were cooked well again. the owners did not speak much English, but were beautiful and tried hard to explain what each court was. all in all a very good experience. as many have said, the portions were large (my 'steak' was three pretty big piece meat.)

Main menu was meat etc, but they also do pizza’s, they only need to ask for the menu. we had medium pizzas, a pork dish that came with potato chips and a mushroom sauce green beans, and kalb with kartoffels and green...beans the portions were massive, and the children helped us to eat ours and the restaurant gave us very happy the remains of the pizza to go away with us. we are great edifiers, so that the fact that we couldn't finish it says everything for their portions. the total bill for meals and juice, beer and coffee came at euro. not the cheapest meal we had but good value as we had the remains of pizza for lunch the next day! they also have the pizza cafe type next door to take the pizza. check their bill, we ordered, take them a day and were charged too much euro, but that was quickly resolved as soon as I brought it to their attention.

Not the cheapest meal we've had out, but good value, given we had the remains of the pizza for lunch the next day! They also have the pizza cafe type place next door, which does pizza to take away. Do check your bill, we ordered take out one day and were charged euros too much, but this was quickly resolved once I brought it to their attention
