This was my family's first time dining at Paula's but definitely not our last!! We were there for a birthday celebration. Alli was an amazing server with excellent recommendations. The food was excellent and well prepared. Best clam chowder I've ever had!! We stayed a little later than closing but the staff did not even mind when we lost track of time. Thank you!! What Robert Stack doesn't like about Paula's On Main:
First time. Service was really good. Sampler was ok, nothing was WOW, but nothing was bad. For the price, I expect closer to wow. Bar drink was great. Chowder was heavy on filler large chunks of carrots and celery) and very small but plentiful clam pieces. Scallops were slightly undercooked. Bread came out late, salads came right when entrée did. Just missed expectations by a large degree. View all feedback.
We absolutely love this restaurant and the staff! They are always very accommodating and food is amazing! We have never had a meal that wasn’t up to par and have always been taken care of by the best wait staff in the Fort Wayne area! Not to mention the martinis never disappoint!
Special place. Amazing food, service and cocktails. We always come back but please don’t use styrofoam for leftovers. Save the oceans little by little.
Food was fantastic and the server Chelsea was exceptional! Highly recommend!
Very sensitive to allergies. Staff very friendly. One of my favorites.
I'm not sure where to begin after experiencing one of the worst dinner services I've had in quite some time. Perhaps expectations were too high. My wife and I came for our anniversary dinner. Our server was late getting to our table, dismissive of the menu, and generally seemed uninterested in being a server. My wife's Mahi Mahi was a special that came with a raspberry chipotle that was incredibly spicy. Had our server been bothered to check in on us, we would have returned it for a different dish. The fish itself was rather bland. My blackened salmon with blue cheese came out boiling lava hot, which burned my mouth, while the side of mashed potatoes, (decidedly looking like a lump of mashed potatoes one would get from a high school cafeteria were lukewarm. The only thing cooked well was the asparagus that came with the Mahi Mahi, but that too was served just north of room temperature. One would expect a few things at a fine dining establishment: 1. Being asked if anything special was being celebrated. 2. A server who has knowledge of the menu and 3. Being asked how we found the food we were served. To be fair, the food was alright. After the salmon cooled down it was decent and deserved a solid 2/5 rating. I finished my wife's Mahi Mahi because I didn't find the spice overwhelming for my liking. But if I could give the service zero stars, I would. Perhaps on a random Tuesday, good service isn't expected. Perhaps our waitress had an off night. I just know when you spend that kind of money at a restaurant, you hope to leave in a better mood than what you came in. We will not be back anytime soon.
