I had been to this restaurant before and absolutely loved it, so I decided to go back for Iftar during Ramadan and they didn’t disappoint. Booking was a breeze over the phone, and when we arrived we were seated right away. The food? Just incredible. Tanjya was rich and flavorful, Dghmira as well, and even the pizza had that homemade touch that instantly brought back memories. What really made the experience special, though, was the hospitality. The staff was so warm and welcoming, constantly offering us Moroccan tea throughout Iftar, which just added to the cozy, homey feel. They were attentive without being overbearing. I’ll definitely be coming back, and if you’re looking for a place with amazing food, great service, and that comforting, home-cooked feel, this is it. Highly recommend! Travel restrictions have made the living quite boring, thanks to the lockdown has been relaxed in abu dhabi and we are back to explore the gastronomy that the city has to offer zomato was our compass on looking for new experiences and today it has pointed to Morokko! we found ourselves in this hidden gem meknes Moroccan restaurant in mina street. they pass through the door and they are transported to another world. the seating, the decoration, the drapery and the music have such a Moroccan feeling. the hostess was very friendly and recommended to try the best products. we started with khobz, a traditional fluffy brot from drums and salmonella, served with crimson potatoes and chili paste. it was served with traditional Moroccan mint tee that really was the best I had. we followed him with the meknes mixed grill smoked meat plate. the lamb and the chicken were really soft, not too spicy, but really delicious. in the main course we had the famous kokus and the tagine. tagines is a must try to cook on unique Moroccan wise. slowly boiled zimt aromatized lamb with plums, apricots and embroidered with sesame seeds. the whole thing melts in your mouth. with my Indian flavor palette I was really skeptical served by meat with fruits. but to my surprise I liked it very much, it wasn't too sweet, but the different aromen mixed with soft meat like a symphony. I probably had more than what I had. I'm guilty of glutony. but this place should be on every foodies eimer list!
They have good eating a beautiful atmosphere and the staff was very friendly. we had the chicken couscous, marzouga couscous, couscous tajine, maouzia tajine and the mix sweets dishes everything was great and the portions were massive. for drinks we had lemon minze limonade and minze tee. we loved eating and the service there.
