Beehive is a great restaurant in downtown Abilene. I tried the chicken fried chicken special they had that day and left impressed. The chicken was crispy, seasoned just right, and cooked to perfection. Our waitress was above and beyond, helping everyone and not missing a beat.
There were five of us, and we each ordered something different: filet mignon, salmon, chicken kabobs, and pork chops (the nightly special), along with sides of asparagus, mashed potatoes, bee hive side salads, grilled zucchini, and a spinach dip appetizer, plus Long Island Iced Tea. We shared everything, and we genuinely loved it all. The atmosphere was very sophisticated, and we really enjoyed our experience! I apologize for not taking any pictures. As for parking, we walked from the Doubletree Hotel, so I'm not sure about the parking situation. Regarding wheelchair accessibility, the entrance from the sidewalk is very easy to navigate.
The service is warm and attentive, ensuring you have a pleasant experience. The food is consistently excellent. I highly recommend trying the Bee.
