Fun Noodle - Abilene
Fun Noodle
Description
In a vibrant dining scene, this restaurant emerges as a mixed bag of experiences. Many patrons appreciate the warm ambiance and efficient service, highlighting fresh and delightful appetizers, while others express disappointment with main dishes that fall short on flavor and consistency. Some dishes, like the spicy lamb and various rolls, gain accolades for their freshness and taste, whereas items like pan-fried noodles and egg rolls have been criticized for being oily or overcooked. Despite some setbacks, the restaurant's friendly atmosphere and attentive staff make it a spot worth visiting for those in search of an enjoyable meal.
Feedback
I had dinner at this restaurant after having soup and discovered it on the map, conveniently located near our hotel. The atmosphere is beautiful, clean, and inviting. I appreciated being able to see the kitchen and watch the chefs at work. My husband ordered the spicy lamb dish and absolutely loved it; he described it as flavorful and really good. I enjoyed a homemade chicken soup, which was the perfect choice since I didn't want to overeat after a heavy lunch. The flavor was just right, and the portion sizes are generous, so I had plenty to take home. My son chose the popcorn chicken and fries, which he also enjoyed. Overall, this place has a great vibe and comes highly recommended!
Pretty solid place. The food is probably more of a three-star quality, but I am bumping it up due to lack of options in the area. We shared soup dumplings and I had the hell ramen, which was flavorful, but not that spicy. Good option if you are in the area
I love this place! I always get the chicken chow mein or the exploded sushi roll. What a gem to Abilene
I ordered Pan Fried Noodles. After all, this is a noodle bar, is it not? I was expecting some nice thick charred noodles, with equally charred veg and some version of yummy brown sauce. Maybe a little spicy kick, but I hoped not too much. What I got was a SMALL delivery dish of brown glop that was so strong with garlic it would have kept Dracula at bay from 100 miles. No joke, the noodles were thick alright good , and mostly stuck together in a glob I had to pull apart with some effort bad . There were a few pieces of scraggly looking meat in there, at least I could tell the shrimps apart from the other meat. And the veg was all bean sprouts with a few slices of onion. As I said, it was a small portion. For the reviews saying they got plenty of food, even leftovers, this was not the case today. I also ordered egg rolls. Beef. The upside is I received three, not just two. Sadly, they were cold and quite oily. When something deep fried is oily, it is because it was fried in oil that wasn't up to temperature. These were a complete miss. The delivery service Door Dash was timely, friendly, and very courteous. No complaints for them. Fun Noodle Bar, however, was a complete disappointment on my first order. I dare say, with as much money as I spent on just the food, as bad as it was I see no reason to go back to it.
I highly recommend this restaurant! I believe that the staff, food and restaurant in general are all above par. I know I like to eat but this place makes me feel like enjoying as much as I can and I certainly do!! Above average in every area, I would recommend that you try this place out and see for your self how great it it. The street pancakes were one of my instant favorites, the potstickers fantastic, the spider roll and crab rangoons so delicious, and I just can't name everything so GO and find out!The food is really amazing, the people that work there are equally amazing. Great food, great people. I think that every time I go, I enjoy it more and the people will make you feel like you are so very, very welc9ome. Love the lighting makes you want to buy that huge fixture lol! Open layout and great lighting, no hiding here, the chefs behind the glass wall are always busy but fun to watch when you go by.
