What Karianne Fahey doesn't like about El Fenix S:
This was our second time the first time was great we had breakfast outside. We had a greater waiter. The second time not so great the waitress sat us in a very tight corner table next to the napkins and other supplies area. She got all our order wrong and only brought part of the order at different times. We also told her what we wanted ahead of time so it would come with the meal. Other than that the food was great.... This place has been a favorite of our family for a couple of generations. Great Tex-Mex food, friendly staff and pleasant atmosphere. They are located in the historic Burro Alley. Everyone should give this place a visit. View all feedback.

read moreEl Fenix Cafe in Abilene has been a long-standing favorite for many, known for its Tex-Mex delights and charming ambiance in the historic Burro Alley. While some recent reviews mentioned inconsistencies in service and food quality, the majority praise the authentic Mexican dishes, fair prices, and fresh guacamole. The restaurant's atmosphere remains a draw, with a cozy patio option for patrons to enjoy. Despite a few hiccups observed by some diners, El Fenix Cafe in Abilene continues to attract both locals and visitors alike. Overall, it's a spot worth trying out for those craving Mexican cuisine in the area.
