Spacious and clean room with Premier Inn 's excellent bed. Location was a good base for driving to attractions (estates, castles, walks/hikes) in the countryside. Hotel is in a relatively quiet area and the room was very good value. Location was perfect for our needs. It’s not beautiful but it was perfectly formed nice staff, very comfy room and excellent shower Walkability: It’s on quite a main road and I wasn’t aware of anything walkable ‘to’ Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5

Breakfast and dinners (additional cost) next door at Shepherd 's Rest were excellent with incredible choices of good food in the dinner menu. One star should be knocked off for Premier Inn 's pitiful wifi, but I suspect fault lies with the company 's unfortunate contract with Virgin. Free wifi is barely 2Mbps (vs. 10Mbps and up at other hotels). Even PI 's fee-based Ultimate wifi is less than 10Mbps. Rooms: 5 Service: 4 Location: 5 Hotel highlights: Great value
