Richmond Street Deli - Aberdeen

Food was okay but the service was awful. A staff member who I assume was the owner was not only rude, abrupt cheeky with myself and other diners but made the atmosphere very uncomfortable. Also was able to hear said staff member talking about myself meters from where we were sitting. Will not return and encourage others not to as should be able to dine without feeling unwelcome. The food was not up to the standard for the chef/owner to be able to act in that way.

Food was average, service was abysmal. Woman behind the counter was fine, however the self entitled “chef” (and I use the term chef very loosely), had a serious attitude problem. This “chef” was unable to remove 1 sauce from a sandwich. Going by her culinary skills it’s evident she hasn’t had any professional training, however, I thought even a woman of her intelligence could handle removing 1 sauce from a sandwich, I was obviously incorrect. Could then hear this woman try and justify herself to her colleagues in the kitchen, evidently showing she required justification from her colleagues as she knew herself her inability to remove 1 sauce was ridiculous and pathetic. I advise going elsewhere in Aberdeen as there are several other cafes serving better food and giving better service.

Veggies beware! Asked for veggie soup was told the soup was veggie- cream of tomato. When i went to eat it, no spoon so i gulped some down only to discover it had sausage in it! Pretty gross for someone who hasn't eaten pork for decades. After asking what they had that was veggie- why would they not check the ingredients? Not great customer service.

WOW wore wowser. Probably the best food I've ever put in my mouth. Dirty pommes. What a part. I'd give 6 stars if I could. I will return. Hopefully soon.

Epic food, cool furnishings. Great customer service, many great books to read, beautiful atmosphere. Very nice staff
