Stayed for a few nights end of April. Very comfortable and staff were extremely friendly! Room was cosy and had everything we could need. The breakfast, which was included in the very reasonable price, had plenty of options including fresh fruit and yoghurts to go alongside the usual bready and other continental brekky foods. Dog friendly. The location was convenient enough as we were driving and near to the things we needed, there was ample free parking nearby. My only complaint is that whilst I'm not a light sleeper the hotel is on a reasonably heavily used road, including by trucks and buses and even though they've added extra glazing to the original art decor windows, there's still a fair bit of road noise. But honestly just bring ear plugs.
Stayed at the northern over Christmas period whilst visiting family. Though the rooms are dated, the hotel is great and not far from the city centre, the staff are really friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast between 7-9am is a nice touch and I will definitely recommend and stay again.
Nice hotel, a bit far from the center but close to the university. I wish they had more vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options in the breakfast.
I had a great stay at the hotel for three nights with my partner. The room was generally kept warm and comfortable. Unlike my previous hotel, the heating worked well here. The lights were conveniently situated above the bed and by the door. The breakfast was delightful; I was always able to eat my fill, which made me happy each morning. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel's location is excellent, with a bus stop right in front, and it's close to the University of Aberdeen, as well as McDonald's, Domino’s, and Sainsbury’s. It's not too far from the city center either. I would definitely recommend this place and look forward to staying here again. The only issue I encountered was with the hot water in the bathroom; it was usually not very hot. I wish it had been hotter, but it was warm enough to use comfortably.
