The fish and chips at this restaurant are fantastic. It is a great place to get a delicious meal, and I have never been disappointed. I visit at least once every two weeks, sometimes even more frequently. Highly recommend.
I always enjoy Ray's Restaurant because everything is cooked fresh.
If you choose to venture near tilly on a cold winters night then a stop off for a fish supper from ray's chipper is a must. This is our treat once a month as the fish supper is honestly the best in Aberdeen. Bigger chains such as Ashvale and Hass are competitive in price but cannot compete to the awesomeness of a Rays fish supper with a cold can of juice. After trying this the first time we were amazed at just how good this actually was. A no frills, no fuss approach to the decor but the delight of smelling a Haddock supper more than makes up for it.
Lovely food and reasonably priced
I've eaten there for a long time, put up with some issues of attitude. A couple weeks ago ordered a haggis supper, the young girl that served me was cleaning around shop with bucket of water and cloth. Between serving my food and cleaning shop, she never washed her hands. I was charged more than what was on the price boards and when I went back to complain there were other customers in shop so I didn't want to create a fuss. Shame that one experience destroyed my overall view of shop for the future.
