Fantastic spot for breakfast! The staff is incredibly friendly and focused on customer satisfaction. The portion sizes are more than generous! I tried the country fried steak skillet, and it was excellent!

I had heard that Marlin's was under new management, which gave me hope that the food quality would improve. My husband and I ordered breakfast along with a hot beef combo. Unfortunately, we both ended up sick from the food, and my husband even experienced food poisoning. The manager I spoke to was very nice, but I really hope they start raising kitchen standards. It's difficult to support one of the few breakfast spots when it consistently makes you feel violently ill. As an update, the corporate manager never called back to follow up on my complaint, and they didn’t offer any reimbursement for the meal, considering we both suffered from food poisoning. This place needs to be shut down. It's clear that management doesn’t care about the health risks their dirty kitchen poses to customers.

My wife and I each ordered a serving of cheese curds. I received 15 curds, while she got only 12. We didn’t check the price beforehand, but we’ve gotten much larger baskets of curds at other places for $7. The Marlin burger was well-cooked but lacked flavor in the patty. My wife had the hamburger smothered sandwich and mentioned that it wouldn’t be very flavorful without the gravy. Also, $2.50 for a soda seems excessive. Our server was friendly, which is the only reason I didn’t give a 1-star rating. Overall, the prices are too high for the quality of food offered.

The staff at Marlin's was very friendly, and I believe this was an honest mistake. I drive an OTR semi and stopped at the truck stop and restaurant yesterday. Not wanting to wait an additional thirty minutes, I chose the Father’s Day buffet. About halfway through eating a piece of fried chicken, I realized it was raw and still bleeding. The skin was also quite chewy, but I was hungry so I kept eating. I reported this to the waitress, and at the end of my meal, I wasn’t charged for my drink. Unfortunately, I spent the night and part of today dealing with stomach issues, which I won’t go into detail about. I believe that on most days, things like this probably don’t happen, but given my experience, I wanted to leave a review. Again, thank you for the kind service.

The service at Marlin's is getting worse by the week. Today, I waited for 15 minutes without any assistance, and no one around me was receiving their food either, so I decided to leave. It was about 1 PM with apparently only two servers and one cook working. Although they seemed to be trying, I didn’t have the time to sit there for an hour just to hopefully get my lunch. On the bright side, I did notice a DoorDash order being completed, so at least off-site customers were being taken care of.
