The dining experience was quite pleasant, although the ordering system seemed a bit chaotic. It appeared that there were only two people taking orders, which contributed to the confusion. I found myself squeezed into a corner with a tablet, and it felt too cramped as I was too close to diners at another table while waiting for my order. On a positive note, I appreciated their commitment to 100% recycling efforts.
This is a cozy little bakery with a café. It's simple and unpretentious, but they serve high-quality products.
I had a wonderful breakfast here. Everything is compostable, including the plates, cups, tea bags, and cutlery. What really impressed me is that they actually utilize these compostables on their farm, so it's not just a gimmick or a marketing tactic. The food was delicious, and the staff was very friendly.
Tried lots of produce from the bakery over a couple of weeks, the granary loaf is exceptional as were the barm cakes, steak pies (packed with steak), Cornish/traditional style pasties, brownies and fairy cakes. Tried a local crab sandwich one lunch time in the cafe which was also really tasty. It is quite pricey but you can taste the quality in the produce. A must visit.
