Contribute FeedbackThe Yellow Barn, once a Fraser Valley institution, now facing mixed reviews. The decline in produce quality and high prices are notable, but the delicious food and friendly staff in the café have been praised. Some customers find the atmosphere unappealing and outdated, while others appreciate the convenience of picking up fresh groceries and flowers on the way. Overall, opinions are divided on the Yellow Barn's transformation from a farm market to a small grocery store with a deli. Despite some negative feedback, the freshly made food and pleasant staff still make it a worthwhile stop for some.
Cute little farm with organic foods and a fidget spinner lol. Great pies and on the side of the road. But man the lady in the checkout line was slow as molasses.
Went for a club sandwich... It was huge and tasty. Well worth the trip to come here. Cheap prices on the menu and great during summer to get fresh fruit for your trip to the lake.
Passing by and we decided to stop by for lunch. Three of us had soup, the fourth decided on chili. All food was well prepared and tasty. Yellow barn also is a produce market, so you can pick up some vegetables for dinner.
I have been going to the Yellow Barn for years every summer. Its a great place to find home made local jams jellies and baked goods. Over the years I have noticed a decline in produce quality and an increase in prices compared to other local farm vendors. Maybe they are capitalizing on the location that they are 1st off the highway or last on, depending on which direction your going. The berries are almost 2x the price of the road side stand 2 KM further in. This year I was taken back by the almost Salvation Army appearance of a few shelves in the store selling 1980's broken looking electronics and used hand creams almost empty for a $1. Both the 2 staff I came across seemed kind of melancholy.I used to enjoy the novelty of going to the Yellow Barn but it seems to be a bit "worse for wear" these days. Its kind of sad.
The yellow baarn used to be a fraser valley institution, a place you made an effort to stop at for farm fresh produce. It is now basically a corner store with a sprig of celery, some jam, and a couple loaves of bread. I miss the days of icecream and corn.
