I am from the city and came across this restaurant on Google Maps while searching for a place to have lunch. The butter chicken was delicious, the rice was perfectly cooked, and the garlic naan was fantastic. If I lived in Abbotsford, I would definitely come back again. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Royal India:
The worst experience ever. Naan was not even cooked properly. When requested she brought more burnt. Staff even doesn't maintain cleanliness. Glass, plates and utensils were dirty. When we asked for spoon, she put it on the table instead of on the plate or napkins. Never ever coming to this restaurant again. View all feedback.
My wife and I are huge fans of delicious curry. We have tried curry from all over the Lower Mainland and consider ourselves quite picky, so we were thrilled to discover this hidden gem in the heart of Abbotsford. The dining experience wasn't flawless, but the flavors were incredibly delicious, rustic, and clearly made with love. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and would definitely come back for more. The service was exceptionally friendly and the overall dining experience was fantastic!
We ordered chana bhatura and two different types of paratha, radish and potato. Everything we ordered was very fresh and authentic. The bhatura was a perfect size, not too small or large, and the portion size for the chana bhatura was just right. They served it with pickles, green chilies, and yogurt as usual. The yogurt was probably the best I've ever had from a restaurant. Even my picky 3-year-old enjoyed the bhatura as it was easy to chew and not too oily. My partner loved his paratha plate, saying it was the best house style paratha he had ever had. The size of the paratha was generous and filled to the brim, not oily at all. We've tried parathas from various restaurants, but they are usually too heavy and lack flavor. If you're looking for a light and authentic North Indian meal, this is the place to go.
