Contribute Feedback What Nikoline Bagge doesn't like about Bacchus:
we have been coming to the Greek restaurant bacchus in aachen for years and we usually like it. we were here the last time on the day of Pentecost. eating this evening was just very bad. the flesh was greasy and seemed to be warmed up. View all feedback.
Three of us visited for dinner we all ordered lamb, it consisted of a large pile of thinly sliced and almost shredded lamb, chips reassembling matchsticks and a small amount of salad. It was extremely nice, I cannot remember it's name, but it included the...word complete. The waiter had a mischievous sense of humour as he let us struggle for a while with a German menu, before giving us a copy in English, so if you are not fluent in German ask the English speaking waiter for an English menu
This review has been a long time coming. Been coming here for about a year now at least once a month or so. The food is good, hearty portions, definitely value for money, salad comes with the meal. The house wine is a nice Greek...house wine. What makes me come back time and time again is the great family that own this place and my favorite comfort food dish at a great price. I may have a local passport but I am and always will be a foreigner, but they make me feel at home. They always got a smile on their faces and a kind word for us. Almost every time I take forever looking over the menu, I always wind up choosing out of one or two of my favorite dishes, it is just one of those things a real comfort I can count on, and they never get irritated by that habit of mine and they don't rush me no matter how busy, so thank you for that. I only wish they had some nice outside space, if they did I would be there almost the whole summer also. My only tip for them is the lighting in the back area of the restaurant, it needs to be done like the front to give it that cozy feel, it is the reason I try and request the front oh and perhaps being closer to the friendly family: Oh and a Greek night would be fantastic! Tastes are adjusted for the locals on some dishes, keep that in mind. Atmosphere is not chic, it is very homey, but that being said fresh flowers on the table and candles, so it has the charm and romance of a little Greek restaurant: Heck I am now craving my favorite dish Bifteki, I may just have to go tonight.... Thanks for the wonderful meals and great memories! See you soon
We had Mix grills and we really loved it. Large portions with a variety of meat, a sidedish and a salad. Very good quality and tasty. Also the price was more than good as we usually pay more in other restaurants and we do...not enjoy it as much as we did here
We were friendly received and could pick our table. The menu contained many dishes including a great choice in fish. The dishes were big and tasted fine. The service was to the point and pleasant except at the end when all the staff were watching the...World Cup
The restaurant was quite full, but the dishes arrived reasonably fast. I loved the soft, juicy aubergines and courgettes and the moussaka! The food was hearty and oily, but delicious. Wellmade Greek home cooking with very reasonable prices and big portions. Will return for sure
