I had passed by this place for work before, but this was my first time visiting! The main gate was under repair, but the main hall had been beautifully restored! You cannot pass through the torii gate directly from the first parking lot. Instead, you need to exit onto the road and head south to pass through the torii gate and enter the precincts. Passing through the torii gate and entering the precincts made me feel refreshed and rejuvenated!

I visited Aso Shrine after seeing online that it had been completed, but the gate was still covered with panels and looked just like the real photo. However, when I peeked at the main hall from the left side, it was beautifully completed. The trees and the new main hall were also wonderful. I just have to wait for the gate to be finished. It's still a work in progress, but why not visit once and see for yourself?

I visited Aso Shrine and Kusaori Shrine on April 23, 2022. I received an amulet from each shrine for 500 yen each. Unfortunately, the stamp-style amulet that was previously available at Kusaori Shrine was no longer offered, so I received both at Aso Shrine. It was a rainy Saturday afternoon with few visitors, allowing me to leisurely explore the shrines. The damp atmosphere enhanced the scent of the fresh cedar wood, providing a comforting and healing aroma. According to a sign, the restoration of the main gate is scheduled to be completed by December 31, 2023. Aso Shrine is designated as an Important Cultural Property with five main buildings undergoing preservation and repair work for disaster recovery.

何度か来社していますが、本殿がきれいになってからは初です。楼門が完全復旧したらまた行きたい。桜が満開だともっといいだろうなー。 阿蘇神社の御朱印は字が大きくて迫力があります。

阿蘇に行くとなって、国造神社、阿蘇神社にはおまいりせねばと行ってきました。 まばゆいくらいに新しい木の美しさを感じる本殿。そのまわりには願掛けの石と縁結びの木があります。 新たな御朱印帳もゲット。 今はコロナで手書きはしていないようですがしっかりといただいてきました。 そうそう、駐車場ですが、神社のまわりにはいくつかの駐車場があるけれど、値段は同じでも設定が違うので注意せねばなりません。
