What User doesn't like about Minamiaso Vegan Cafe:
the pin location on the map was inaccurate, took us on the mountain road and said the caffe was in the middle of the forest, asked many different locals if they knew where it was, no success. directions say next to the railway station, but do not specify which station to find. I was as sad as I haven't found a vegan caffe in the opposite. safe, eating is great, only be careful if they are looking for a place to eat f... View all feedback.
The pin location on the map was wrong, leading us up a mountain road and claiming the cafe was in the middle of the forest. We asked multiple locals for directions to no avail. The instructions mention the cafe is near a station, but don't specify which one. I was disappointed as I couldn't find another vegan cafe nearby. The food was delicious, but be cautious if looking for a post-hike meal as the location is hard to find.
Today, after a hike up Mount Aso, we decided to visit this charming vegan cafe on a whim. Upon arrival, we were disappointed to find that the owner, Chie, was in the process of closing due to running out of items. However, Chie-san warmly welcomed us to stay, and went above and beyond to prepare a delicious special meal and tea just for us. She even went out to purchase more items to make us happy. Despite not wanting to inconvenience her or be rude, Chie's kindness was truly heartwarming. This unexpected experience was truly special and unforgettable, and we look forward to returning to enjoy more of Chie-san's amazing vegan meals during our time in Aso. Thank you so much!
I visited this restaurant with a group of friends who are vegan and we had a fantastic meal. We enjoyed a delicious Bento box with vegan ham, vegan meatballs, salads, and freshly cooked vegetables. The owner also surprised us with vegan kara 'age chicken, which was incredibly tasty. Additionally, the café has a vegan shop where you can purchase vegan cookies, snacks, curries, dried pasta, and more. It may be a bit tricky to find the restaurant without a car, as it doesn't appear to be easily accessible by public transportation. The owner is friendly and speaks fluent English. Overall, a great experience!
Today, we visited this lovely vegan café on a whim after a hike, only to find out that they were closing up shop because they had run out of ingredients. Initially disappointed, we were pleasantly surprised when the owner, Chie, offered to stay open and prepared a delicious special meal and tea just for us. She even went out to buy some extra items to make our experience enjoyable. Chie was incredibly warm and we were relieved not to cause any inconvenience. This unexpected and special experience will be remembered fondly, and we look forward to returning tomorrow to savor more of Chie's wonderful vegan dishes.
The map's pin location was wrong, leading us to a mountain road and claiming the café was in the middle of the forest. We asked several locals for directions but had no luck. The instructions mentioned it was next to a station, but didn't specify which one. I was disappointed not to find a vegan café nearby. While the food is good, be cautious if looking for a spot to eat before hiking, as it can be tricky to locate.
