I visited for the first time with friends and was pleasantly surprised. The ambiance was warm and authentic. The service was excellent, and the food was delicious. I would definitely return and highly recommend it. View all feedback.

The worst service I have ever received. The 70 year old hostee wouldn 't sit us because we didn 't have a reservation because it was 'so busy ' when myself and my party looked around, there was no body was twenty 70 years old and fifteen little kids. This establishment should be ashamed about how they spoke to potential paying customs. Will never ever go back and suggest no one else does. View all feedback.
I liked my German food, but my wife ordered salmon and she ate one bite. Motto here is dont get fish in a in meat store.
It's been a bit since we've been here and they still have great atmosphere, attentive service and a wonderful menu with classic German food and other offerings. The sauerbraten was excellent, very flavorful and not overly vinegary. We enjoyed a late Saturday afternoon lunch and it was the quiet time just before the dinner crowd started to come in. Perfect! The food was wonderful. The veal is excellent. My wife was still talking about it this morning. That said, it doesn't seem to be very handy capt friendly. There are 2 steps to get into the front door and the bathroom stall was too small to get my walker into it. However, the staff was very helpful when inside the restaurant. It was a very pleasant experience. We will go back again when we are in the neighborhood.
We took a drive today to oak chalet in Bellmore. I think over the years we tried almost every german restaurant in the area. So the oak was on of the missing ones. We started of with the pretzel wich was really good. For Main course we had the sauerbraten and Schnitzel Holstein. The kids sausage and Spätzle. Everything was taste less and not even close to any kind of german cusine. It really taste like hospital or retirement food … how that taste? Like nothing taste less … They charged $10 f … – show
