A Great “Meet, Drinks Bites” Bar As their website proclaims, the Dove and Deer is a restored bar in downtown Albany. They offer a cozy atmosphere for friends to gather, enjoy a date night, or stop in for a drink. Our first visit was a date night – our anniversary – so our expectation wasn’t quite on the mark. A group of five had dinner here including a 7 year old. Food was very good. Really liked the Brussel sprouts and wings for appetizer. Main courses ranged from very good (pork) to good (chicken). All three desserts were good. My 7-year old and godson thought the Bomb was awesome. Recommend for a chocolate lover. I really liked the gooey chocolate chip option.

Love D+D. We went there for NYE in 2019. It was an incredible start to an awful year, ha. The bartenders made each cocktail by hand and we didn't have to wait more than 30 seconds for a drink at any point. Food was above and beyond what was promised. We did it again just this past New Years for 2022. Amazing. Same level of service, same hand made cocktails, same above and beyond food. Great environment. We go for dinner all the time. Atmosphere, drinks and service were great. Queso was more like a piece of rubber unfortunately. Will have to give them another chance
