We went after spending the morning taking photos in Queens Botanical Garden, opted to sit inside, the outside venue was packed we wanted the AC. had the brunch-apple/walnut/chicken salads-fresh, nicely made, generous portions, with a mimosa made for a nice brunch-then for dessert a parfait really topped it off-with some to take home.. This was my first visit to Crabtree's, and I was incredibly impressed. The decor was lovely with the holiday spirit. The staff was charming and attentive. The food was “out of this world.” I ordered medalians of lamb that were grilled: 3 slices marinated in olive oil and spices that melted in my mouth. It came with smooth, delicious mashed potatoes and a variety of fresh vegetables. I requested green mint jelly, and then it was perfect. The entire dining experience was subpar. The food arrived late, and the bar noise was obnoxiously loud. My husband, and I, continually voiced our concerns, snd then, when not answered, our complaints. The area in which we were seated was very warm. We asked that the door be opened. The eventual response was that the frequent customers did not want the cooler air, and those customers mattered. This was our first time here, and we had traveled a distance to sample the food.
