Horrible lady who I think is the owner. I sat down, made my order and realized that I had water leakage in my bagpack so the back was wet. Since it was early in the morning there wasn’t much sun on the terrace, so I put my bag on a chair and put it slightly away from the table towards the sun. She immediately came out, told me off and pushed the chair back. I tried to explain to her the reason I am doing this (bare in mind the place was completely empty besides two other tables who were far from me, so I wasn’t disturbing anyone). A minute later she came out, grabbed my back without permission and shoved it at a different chair. Others at the cafe were as shocked as I was. Don’t know if she is having a bad day or she is genuinely an unpleasant person, but i didn’t feel like spending money there and left before mg order arrived.
Great place. Excellent view of the town. Food was very good and the beer cold. Friendly staff Come with cash, they do not take cards.
The staff were lovely and welcoming and went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. The food was fresh and delicious the croquettes were the best we had on our trip. On top of all this, we had a lovely view of the port and friendly local people. 5 stars! :
We stopped here for lunch while we were out walking around A Guarda and enjoyed it so much that we went back that night for dinner. I had the tuna salad as recommended by Pepe (the owner) and it was possibly the best salad I've ever eaten even better that the salad I'd had at lunch!! The other members of the group also thought their meals were fabulous, but we all loved the service, the hospitality and the conviviality of Pepe and his staff. Highly recommended. Loved it!
