Living in Tono, when I asked my acquaintances for recommendations for restaurants and izakaya in the area, many people told me about this place. The reputation was spot on - the seafood dishes are delicious. The owner, or should I say the proprietress, noticed that our order seemed like too much food for us to finish and checked in with us before making the final dish. It was a relief because we were already full. The assorted sashimi we ordered first was so good that we got carried away and ordered too much. We left with a promise to come back and even decided to keep a bottle there for next time.
You can enjoy the owner's specialty fish dishes at this restaurant in Tono, with the owner hailing from Otsuchi. Sashimi that you rarely find at the beach can be enjoyed here! Be sure to order the sashimi platter in the photo.
I visited this restaurant in 2009 and was impressed by the delicious fish. I tried to revisit in March 2017, but it was fully booked and I couldn't get in. It's a shame that it's a place that's hard to visit. However, I'm happy to see that the restaurant seems to be thriving. Keep up the good work!
