I visited Kujiraya for the first time and purchased chocolate cream and anko. The shapes were incredibly cute and almost too adorable to eat. Each one had just the right amount of sweetness and a fluffy texture. They were delicious when they were still warm from being baked. The owner and the staff were all very pleasant. I highly recommend trying the whale-shaped pastries at Kujiraya.
First of all, the shape is cute! Not only kids, but I think it would definitely be appreciated as a gift. The crust is a bit thick, giving it a satisfying bite, and it tastes delicious! Even after some time passes, if you toast it, you can enjoy a different texture.
All of the desserts were delicious! Personally, I recommend the chocolate. It's not too sweet and has a fluffy texture. Even when cold, it still tastes great. They offer chocolate, custard, and red bean paste flavors (each for 150 yen). Currently, they also have a limited-time tiramisu-style option (180 yen). Be careful, as it has a different texture compared to traditional taiyaki. Although there was only one female staff member, she quickly served us and was very polite. It was convenient to pay with PayPay. The only drawback was that they didn't have a parking lot.
