When I finally visited in my fifties, I was impressed by the clean and sophisticated interior. The chef seemed very professional and the food they served gave me a feeling that this is a place that serves delicious dishes. I ordered grilled mackerel, octopus skewers, crab croquettes, grilled rice balls, and tempura of young sardines and squid, and all of them were fantastic. I always thought that grilled rice balls (koshiabura) were a taste only found in high-end restaurants in Tokyo, so I was truly surprised to find them served at this restaurant in Ohara! I will definitely want to visit this restaurant again if I return to Ohara. Ohara is not a place to be overlooked.

The friendly and skilled chef, who is also a laid-back surfer, ensures that everything you eat is delicious. The cozy and homely atmosphere is also welcoming. In the winter, the fugu hot pot made with locally sourced ingredients is outstanding. It's fresh, delicious, and reasonably priced.
