In Kagoshima dialect, it means fresh, unsalted fish.

Inside the Makurazaki Fish Center, we went to a restaurant called Buen. My companion had the Bonito Sashimi Set for 1580 yen, while I had the Local Fish Sashimi Set for 1380 yen, both with a drink bar included, which was much appreciated in the height of summer. I'm not a fan of bonito, so my companion suggested that the bonito in Kochi is better. However, trying the local ingredients is part of the fun of traveling, and the view of the port was also lovely. In addition to bonito dishes, you can also try dishes made with Kagoshima Kurobuta pork such as tonkatsu and curry, but the bonito dishes are definitely a must-try. The soul food here, the grilled bonito belly with salt, was also very delicious, although it is a taste that makes you want to drink alcohol. Prices range from around 1,000 to 2,000 yen per person.
