Even though it's not local, I've passed by this place many times on my way to the hot springs. But I never noticed it at all. It's just before the intersection to Ryujin, with the shutters closed during the times I passed by, so I thought it was just a warehouse. When I arrived before opening time on a holiday, there were already cars parked. While waiting for my order, a family came in and the 15-16 seat restaurant was full. Customers who couldn't get in waited outside. It was my first time at this restaurant, so I ordered the regular chashu ramen and gyoza. Unfortunately, the shio ramen was not available because the shop was closed. The chashu itself was well seasoned and very delicious. I thought the soup was soy sauce-based, but it was a little different. Maybe there was a bit of pork bone in it? It wasn't too light or heavy, and just right even when finished to the last drop. The gyoza had a chewy skin and served as a good replacement for rice.
Finally got to eat. It was quite a challenge just to get here since they're only open from 11:30 to 13:00. Thankfully, I made it before 11:30 and was able to eat. The sushi at Hayazushi is delicious.
