In August 2020, I visited a bakery known for their natural yeast bread. The location is easy to find, with a gravel parking area by the railway tracks. The entrance to the shop feels like stepping into a home. Inside, the aroma of freshly baked bread fills the air. The glass case displayed a variety of beautiful breads. During my journey on the Suigun Line, I visited the town of Tanagura. I got off at the Iwaki-Tanagura Station and strolled through the nostalgic old town and castle ruins. When I reached the verdant neighboring Nakatoyo Station, I found a Japanese house with a cool gate next to the station. To my surprise, it turned out to be a bakery when I checked the map! I purchased "Pain de mie," "Grape-shaped bread," "Plain campagne," and "Fig and walnut bread." They were all slightly small, but surprisingly heavy when held. When I tasted them, I could faintly feel the acidity of the yeast and enjoy the well-balanced flavor. It seems that no extra ingredients were added, allowing me to savor the carefully selected taste and aroma of the wheat. I will definitely visit again.
A shop that specializes in natural yeast bread and baked goods. The quiet, light blue building exudes an open and lovely atmosphere. They also use organic ingredients. When I took a bite of the muffin in my car, I was surprised by its moist and chewy texture. "I didn't know muffins could be this delicious!" The refreshing scent of citrus peel added to the enjoyment of a drive through the green mountains. The banana cake was even denser and chewier, with a sweetness that doesn't rely on sugar. It feels like a treat made with love for children. The scones have a rough texture and are plain, perfect with a sweet tea or latte. The whole grain bread has a hard crust and a dense interior, akin to steamed bread. The tartness cuts through, becoming addictive with each bite. It would go well with cheese or olive oil. Around 4 parking spaces available.

I believe it would be perfect for those who enjoy savoring the true taste of bread.
