It has a retro feel and the menu offers a variety of dishes that I have never seen in Yamagata before. It's true that things change when you change locations! While saying all this, I tried the Char siu ramen. At 700 yen, it's incredibly cheap! The ramen comes with two types of Char siu - chicken thigh and pork. It's unique and the soup has a strong sesame oil flavor with a thick texture, which is also unique. But it was delicious! The noodles were curly.

They are from the same hometown and one of them offered to help when the owner was about to close the shop, leading to their partnership. When I visited on a Friday afternoon, there were about 4 other customers. I had the grilled meat ramen (which had a delicious soy sauce flavor with a thick texture), dumplings (maybe store-bought?), and half a bowl of rice. After finishing my meal, I had a chat with the owner and was sent off with well wishes. If you enjoy the old-fashioned atmosphere, I recommend visiting this ramen shop at least once.
