The restaura... read more I visited the restaurant in search of beef tendon stew. This dish has even won the grand prize in a stew competition, so my expectations were high. The restaurant is located on the basement floor of a mixed-use building. The interior is small, but I like the cozy atmosphere. After about 10 minutes, the stew arrived, bubbling and steaming! Just by looking at it, I was sure it would be delicious. The beef tendons were large and chunky, but once in my mouth, they were tender and melted away! The accompanying salad also made a strong impression. Unlike the usual small and lackluster salads, this one was generous in portion and tasteful. Was the dressing homemade? It was just as tasty as the stew. The portion of the salad was quite large though! Although the price is a bit on the higher side due to using beef tendons, I believe you can enjoy the best stew. It's a di... read more First visit to this restaurant. When I asked the staff for recommendations since it was my first time there, they suggested the "Kaou Kaou Hamburger." It's a dish named after the restaurant itself, so I decided to order it without hesitation! The hamburger sauce was surprisingly made with beef tendon stew, which I thought was a bold move, but it turned out to be delicious. The salad dressing was also to my liking, with plenty of carrots. This restaurant has been in business for an impressive 50 years, and they opened in Tokorozawa, Wako, and Oizumi Gakuen during the COVID-19 pandemic last July. They may still be relatively unknown, but their Google Maps reviews have received high praise, with 93 reviews averaging 4.1 stars. This place seems to be winning over the stomachs of the locals in Oizumi. Lunch is great, but be sure to try their dinner menu as well! I will definitely visit again.
