The skilled owner of the restaurant carefully prepares and serves seasonal seafood, mountain delicacies, and Otsuchi deer in exquisite dishes. The menu consists of traditional Japanese cuisine that showcases the high quality of the ingredients. This time, we enjoyed seasonal fresh sea urchin sashimi, freshly harvested "sprout-attached" turnips, Kamaishi oysters, Yamada oyster fry, and delicious sea urchin liver. The selection of local sake was excellent, including AKABU's Yui no Kaori, which paired well with warm sake and appetizers. For dessert, we were impressed by the delicious Deer Barbarian Soba, made with the finest Otsuchi deer meat shipped from Iwate Prefecture. The skillful preparation of the deer meat and green onions in the dipping sauce was outstanding. Due to its popularity, make sure to make a reservation before visiting this amazing restaurant.
This Japanese restaurant allows you to enjoy dishes that never get boring from start to finish, with the best seasonal ingredients served at the perfect timing. The sea urchin and Yama seafood from Yamada at the beginning still make my mouth water when I think about it. The Otsuchi deer soba was also a highlight, with the deer sautéed in green onion oil offering a unique and delicious taste that intensified with every bite. It was a very satisfying experience to learn a new way to enjoy deer meat!

The flavors are distinct from those of bonito broth, resulting in a refreshing taste in both the soup and simmered dishes. It seems that Kamaishi's Michelin-starred restaurant, Miyagawa Shouten on the 1st floor, is run by the same brothers who put great care into their work.
