I ordered the most popular set of taro ramen and half rice and it was delicious. The taro ramen was piping hot and remained warm until the end. It had a unique topping of egg white meringue, which had a texture similar to hanpen. I forgot to take a picture. The meal was tasty, but unfortunately, the restaurant was dirty. The condiments were dusty and sticky from grease, the walls had grease marks, and there were visible onion peels and dust on the floor, which was unpleasant. There were alcohol disinfectants available and the counter had dividers, but I wonder if the place is well-ventilated. There were no hand towels (paper towels, etc.) at the hand washing area, which I think should be provided. Since it seemed like there were mostly male customers, who may not carry handkerchiefs, it's unhygienic if they can't dry their hands after washing them. If the restaurant was cleaner, it would have been even better.
Even though it's October and as cold as December with rain falling, "Taro Ramen" here is just the right fit. The Chinese flavor, sourness, and spiciness of the sauce have a good balance and warm up the body. At 650 yen including tax, some may become addicted to this dish. I envy the people in the neighborhood. The only downside is that the boiled noodles in the bowl tend to harden at the bottom before the sauce is poured over, and the timing to break the meringue is uncertain, I wonder (laughs).
The restaurant has a parking lot for two cars, which is convenient as it is located on a narrow path next to the store. They offer two types of noodles for their ramen, thin noodles and homemade flat noodles, which have different textures and make it interesting. The chashu in the chashu don was a bit salty but very tender and delicious. They also have children's chairs available, making it a family-friendly restaurant.
