This is a restaurant where you can enjoy their specialty dish, Katsu Curry Mixed Ramen. I used it for lunch and tried the famous Katsu Curry Mixed Ramen for the first time. The dish combines katsu (breaded pork cutlet), noodles, curry, and rice. The noodles were delicious! The medium-thick curly noodles were chewy and I could tell that they put effort into their noodles. The curry was on the watery side, with bite-sized pieces of pork belly, daikon radish, and carrots. It was quite spicy and warmed me up in the cold weather. The katsu had a crispy coating until the very end, and paired perfectly with the curry. Since there was rice at the bottom, I could finish off the meal with a satisfying bite. The combination reminded me of Toyohashi's curry udon, but this was lighter and easier to eat. The landlady was friendly and upbeat, which added to the nice atmosphere. I would like to visit again if I have the chance.
Located just a 1-minute walk from Aizu-Gawaguchi Station, this restaurant is perfect for a quick meal or snack between train rides or sightseeing. The restaurant is open irregularly from 10am to around 3pm and offers a variety of dishes, including their famous Katsu Curry Mix Ramen. Personally, I enjoyed the Char Siu Donburi and Ramen set. The Shoyu Ramen is a must-try and during the summer they also serve Hiyashi Chuka, Spicy Hiyashi Chuka, and Cold Ramen.
